The Katha Diddèl look is classic, yet whimsical. Chic and stylish, yet timeless. Her sophisticated palette of bold, clear colors, her unerring sense of style, and her insistence on the very best in workmanship and materials has earned the Katha Diddèl Home Collection a devoted following.

It has been more than twenty-four years since Katha Diddèl, fresh out of college, filled with youthful enthusiasm and fluent in Mandarin Chinese, went to live and work in China. Today, the dynamic head of her own successful home furnishings company, Katha Diddèl still designs much of the collection herself. Everything reflects her hand and eye.

Now she has put all she knows about the well-dressed home into a new line of accessories for the well-dressed woman. While Katha Diddèl knew exactly what she wanted, it took her a decade to find just the right materials and the right craftsmen, trying prototype after prototype, until she was satisfied. It was time well spent.

The Katha Diddèl handbags and totes, introduced in the summer of 2003, were an immediate sell out. The bags begin with finely wrought needlepoint, hand-stitched in China, in designs ranging from vivid florals to monkeys cavorting in the jungle to cool blue Cantonese porcelain. Finished with buttery Italian leather sides and handles, hand-stitched in America, the bags are designed for the confident woman who doesn't mind turning a few heads and who finds pleasure in owning fine things - a woman whose taste is as cultivated and whose standards are as exacting as Katha Diddèl's herself.

For the Accessories line Katha wanted an updated fresh look, so she chose Laurette Kittle of Laurette Design, Inc. to design some new pieces in addition to the classic designs from Nina Campbell and other leading international designers.

Of course, a beautiful bag requires beautiful shoes to match, so the most recent additions to the line are needlepoint shoes, both slip-ons and mules. Matching eyeglass and cosmetic cases complete the Katha Diddèl look.
